We are thrilled to share that we have teamed up with Learfield IMG College to help in amplifying its school-specific social promotion for Level Next, the College Esports League that launched this fall. Level Next is the largest intercollegiate esports league open to all college students attending a four-year accredited university - and the first league to be supported by official school branding and athletics marketing assets.
The relationship between Learfield IMG College calls for Pico technology to power a school-specific marketing competition that encourages schools to post and promote the league on their respective social channels using the #LevelNextChampions hashtag. The Fall Champions Series will have the largest college esports cash prize of $150,000, where $50,000 will be awarded directly to a campus esports program.
Pico is tracking the engagement of each post and sharing the results in real-time on a leaderboard within levelnextesports.com. We are supporting the promotion and launch by tracking the engagement of the gamers and fans, while also identifying them with our data-capture technology. Upon participation, fans will be set for personalized communication from the Level Next esports platform. “Pico’s technology allows us to launch an innovative, highly engaged marketing campaign for our brand-new esports league, and it complements our ability to connect and identify through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram those fans participating,” said Jonathan Schrader of Learfield IMG College esports.
